Internal Tools & Automation

We build the software your business runs on and connect it to the systems you already use.

The problem

Most businesses run on a mix of spreadsheets, an old custom system, and off-the-shelf tools that each do part of the job. Staff type the same data into several places, someone spends hours reconciling it, and the knowledge of how it all fits together often lives with one person.

When that person leaves, or the business grows past what the tools can handle, the gaps show up as errors, delays, and calls to customers that should never have been needed.

What we build

CRMs and operations systems

Custom CRMs, intake systems, and operations software built around how your team works, with the fields, stages, and permissions your process needs. For an estate planning law practice, we built an intake CRM for new clients.

Inventory and production planning

Systems that keep stock current and tell your team what to make and when. For a food manufacturer, we tied inventory and production planning into their B2B sales platform, with low-stock alerts, so orders stopped arriving for items they couldn't fill.

Client portals and dashboards

Portals where your clients, dealers, or members check status and submit requests themselves, and dashboards that bring the numbers from every system into one place.

AI automations and MCP servers

AI that does repetitive work inside the tools you already use. We built an MCP service that lets AI assistants work inside a legal practice-management system, an automation that turns patent-office correspondence into tasks for the firm, and AI tools that help a patent agent work on applications. We have also set up AI assistants on a property firm's office machines, connected to its files, with custom skills for its work.

Integrations and API wrappers

We connect accounting, CRM, e-commerce, and practice-management software so data is entered once. Where a system's API doesn't cover what you need, we build a wrapper around what it does offer. For a marketplace, we built Stripe Connect escrow and a Shopify inventory sync.

How we work

01 Intro call and proposal

A 30-minute call about how the work runs today, then a proposal we revise with you until it covers what you need.

02 Spec and prototype

We write a spec and build wireframes or a clickable prototype, so your team can click through the tool before any code is written.

03 Build

We build it and review progress with you on a set cadence, usually weekly, with the people who will use it every day.

04 Test, launch, and support

We test it and check its security, launch it, and stay available for changes as your business grows.

Proof

Inventory, planning, and sales in one system

A food manufacturer was taking wholesale orders for products it didn't have in stock. About a quarter of orders needed a call back to the customer to offer an alternative.

We built an inventory management and production planning system and tied it into their B2B sales platform. Staff keep inventory up to date, and the system flags low stock so the team knows what to make and when.

Order call-backs dropped from about a quarter of orders to none, and the team became significantly more efficient.

FAQ

Should we build custom software or use an off-the-shelf tool?

It depends on how central the process is to your business and how much the available products fight your operations. Sometimes a configured tool or an AI assistant with custom skills is the better fit, and we will say so.

Can you connect to the software we already use?

Usually. We integrate through each system's API, and where that falls short, we build around what the system does offer. We tell you in the proposal if a connection isn't possible.

Can you move our data out of spreadsheets or an old system?

Yes. Moving your existing data into the new system is part of the build.

Who owns the code?

You do. We deliver source code, infrastructure-as-code, and documentation. There are no proprietary frameworks you cannot maintain without us.

Do you support the tool after launch?

Yes. We stay available for changes and support after launch, and internal tools tend to grow as the business does.

How is a build billed?

Builds can be quoted at a fixed price once the proposal is agreed, or billed by the hour for work that is still being defined.
