Decentralized organizations promise on-chain governance but often deliver advisory voting that founders can override, defeating the purpose. We built Paideia as a full DAO management platform on Ergo and later Cardano with smart contract enforced governance, where approved proposals execute treasury spends directly on-chain rather than waiting for someone to act on the result. The platform runs on custom blockchain indexing infrastructure deployed across self-hosted nodes in Europe and Canada, with a custom API layer on top of the indexed chain data that powers proposal creation, staking, and treasury management. Multi-year live operation on Ergo has produced zero exploits, and the Cardano expansion was funded by a Catalyst grant and shipped with an entirely new frontend and Aiken-based smart contract suite.
